As of August 1, 2014, Trans Fat Free Products available at Paulaur in adherence of the FDA’s preliminary decision to phase out all hydrogenated oils.

Trans Fat Free Products are available as of August 1, 2014. We will launch our new Paulaur Toppings brand product line to the industry and our most valued customers. In addition, Paulaur will no longer be manufacturing products using partially hydrogenated oils, therefore eliminating trans-fat from all of our products.
In the past, we have used partially hydrogenated soybean oil to manufacture the Paulaur toppings product line. These products will now be manufactured using non hydrogenated palm oil (see product specifications below).
Trans-fats contained in partially hydrogenated oils has been known to cause many health issues including an increase risk of heart disease. Quality food manufacturers are looking for ways to remove these unwanted fats from products to adhere to the FDA’s preliminary decision. Note that any orders required for the Soybean Oil formula must be received prior to June 15, 2014 for manufacture. After this date, all production for Sprinkles, as well as Confectionery Shapes & Mixes will be planned and manufactured using Palm Oil.
